As a cheesemonger and produce buyer in Brooklyn, most of my days are spent elbow deep in old food. Legs of prosciutto di Parma, ash ripened goat cheeses from Vermont and plenty of old world wine. Beyond the cheese counter, I represent over a dozen Hudson Valley Farms– hawking their wonderful seasonal meat and produce to some of the finest restaurants in the city. I’ve also done my fair share of cooking and food related retail- everything from foraging to buying, cooking and food styling. Needless to say, I’m fairly invested in what goods are being bought, sold and consumed in our great city and am always motivated by the energy of folks who care about what they’re buying and what they’re making.
